(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – A security source in Salahuddin province informed on Wednesday that the ISIS detonated 60 improvised explosive devices, in order to hinder the advance of the security forces towards Sharqat, north of Tikrit. Sharing further details with Iraqi News, the source revealed, “ISIS detonated 60 improvised explosive devices to hinder the advance of the security forces towards Sharqat, after the security forces destroyed three sand berms and reached the center of the district.” “The security forces managed to seize three vehicles, weapons and equipment left by ISIS during the battle of Sharqat,” the source added. It may be mentioned that media officials with the Ministry of Defense announced earlier today that the security forces have advanced towards the center of Sharqat. (IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – A group of unidentified armed men attacked an ISIS publishing in Mosul and killed the guards before setting it to fire. According to the Iraqi media, a large amount of publications that were promoting SIS ideology, were destroyed, and an unidentified number ISIS guards killed in the blaze. There are frequent attacks against ISIS by residents of Mosul who are wishing for the end of the terrorist group in their hometown, while the Iraqi army backed by the US-led coalition are now preparing for an ultimate assault to oust ISIS out of Mosul. Kurdish Peshmerga forces are expected to play a key role in the operation that is expected to take place before the end of 2016. Wanas Jabara, the commander of Salahuddin brigade of al-Hashd al-Ashaeri, said, “The Iraqi Air Force, backed by the inteational coalition aviation, this moing destroyed nine ISIS booby-trapped vehicles, southwest of Sharqat.” Meanwhile, Salahuddin Police Chief Major General Damen Hameed, said, “We had held a meeting at the headquarters of Salahuddin Operations Command to discuss the situation and the second phase of Sharqat liberation operations.” Yesterday, a brigade commander of the Iraqi Army informed about the end of the first phase of the liberation battles of Sharqat and the preparation to launch the second phase. Sharing details the source said, “Sharqat residents today stormed into the ISIS Central prison in the Right Coast of Sharqat (45 km north of Salah al-Din) and killed the five prison guards and liberated over 40 detainees. Quoting a report of Kurdistan National Security Council Anti-Terror agency, the source said, “In one of the coalition airstrikes senior ISIS leader Abu Abdul-Rahman al-Shishani was killed.” “The senior leader Tamas al-Shishani, also known as Abu Abdul-Rahman al-Shishani and some of his aides were killed on Saturday near al-Shur to the south of Mosul.” It may be mentioned here that the Kurdistan Region’s security forces, especially its special and anti-terror forces, are main partners with the inteational coalition in the war against ISIS. The 15-minute video that have been recorded recently in Mosul, begins where children are shown watching men in orange jumpsuits locked in steel cages, then the men were beheaded by ISIS militants. At the end of the video, an ISIS executioner aids a young, blond boy, not older than 10, in executing a suspected spy with a handgun. The boy is suggested to be of European descent. The blond-haired boy was dressed in combat fatigues, and was handed a large handgun and encouraged to fire it into the back of the head of a prisoner of war, who claimed to be a spy captured in ‘Wilayat Nineveh’. (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A land mine planted by ISIS, before being ousted from the city, in one of the schools in the Syrian city of Manbij, exploded today and killed three children. The land mine exploded in Saif al-Dawla school in central Manbig, two days after its opening, destroying a part of the school. Syrian activists revealed that the explosion resulted in the death of 10-year-old Emad al-Jadou, 12-year-old Mostafa Ali al-Hawran and 10-year-old Hassan Osman Naasan. The activists also pointed out that the Syrian Democratic Forces and Manbij Local Council are responsible for the incident for allowing the children to attend schools before being completely cleaned from mines and explosives. (IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Today, Police Captain Amir Wathiq stated that ISIS has closed all the authorized inteet cafes in Mosul, as well as executed five workers in these cafes for collaborating with Iraqi security forces. Wathiq said, “At dawn today, the ISIS Islamic Police closed all the seven authorized inteet cafes in Mosul for sharing information with the security forces.” “The ISIS members also executed five workers of these cafes for collaborating with the security forces. The bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine department,” Wathiq added. It is worth to be mentioning here that ISIS announced in July that it will cut all inteet networks in Mosul starting August, to prevent any attempt to communicate with the security forces. According to Iraqi websites, “The two US planes delivered humanitarian assistance consisting of food and medicine to the people of the newly liberated town in northe Syria. The planes landed at the US base, which has a large airport in the village of Sabt, south of Kobani.” Syrian officials said, “The US experts finished the building of the military base, 30 km south of Kobani, in August which includes an airport for logistical support.” The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters managed to fully recapture Manbij in northe Aleppo in August, after fierce clashes with the ISIS militants in the city. The command in a statement, said, “Forces of the 25th brigade’s 1st Regiment conducted a search operation in Albu Awsaj in southe Baghdad, and discovered 22 mortar shells, 17 detonator, a rocket, two grenades and 5 kilograms of explosives.” “The security forces also seized two IEDs in al-Abeid area, mortar shell in al-Karaghoul area in southe Baghdad, in addition to seven explosive belts, six thermal bombs and 13 mortar shells in Amiriyah Fallujah in weste Baghdad,” the statement added. The command also revealed that its forces managed to arrest a number of suspects in the last 24 hours in different areas of Baghdad. (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A well placed source in the Ministry of Interior, Iraq informed on Thursday that in a bomb blast targeted on an army patrol  to  the south of Baghdad, killed  two army personnel and injured five others. “The bomb exploded on Thursday evening, targeting an Iraqi army patrol at Arab Jabour village in Doura, to the south of Baghdad. Two army personnel were killed and five others injured. The army vehicle was also damaged severely,” the source said seeking anonymity. “Ambulances rushed to the area and transported the wounded to a nearby hospital and the bodies of the deceased to the forensic department. The security forces later cordoned off the area,” further said  the source. The Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) released a statement revealing that they have carried out 24 airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria in the last 24 hours. She was accused of complicity with ISIS forces who killed three Peshmerga members when they arrived at the house where Darwish was being held captive in Zummar in north-west Iraq,” the statement said.
